Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions we receive

Is there a discount for paying for lessons in advance?

Yes. Students who purchase a year’s tuition (48 lessons) in advance will get a discount of one month’s fee: i.e. they only pay for 44 lessons.

Are the teachers native English speakers?

Yes. Our teachers are from the USA and the UK.

Can I take lessons at my home or office?

Yes. If you would prefer to take lessons anywhere other than in one of our classrooms we will try to accommodate your request. Before making the contract we will work out available times and the cost of transportation to and from your venue. The actual cost of transportation will be added to your bill, which will be shown to you before the contract is finalized.

Are there any Japanese teachers to explain grammar for TOEIC?

Yes. Our Intensive TOEIC courses are taught jointly by a Japanese teacher who is fluent in English (TOEIC 990 and EIKEN level 1) and a native English speaker. The Japanese teacher focuses on the reading and grammar side of the course, while the native teacher focuses on the listening section and general test strategies.

Can I change the day or time of my lessons?

Yes. Students enrolled in group lessons can attend any lessons of the same type, or come at a different time if there is space in the teachers’ schedule. Similarly, private lesson students may change the time and day of their lesson if there is a suitable space in the schedule.

How many students are in the group lessons?

Up to eight students may enroll in a particular class, but because of our flexible group lesson system, typically only around 2 ~ 4 students attend each class.

Yes. If you have a computer and a headset as well as a Skype account, you may teach telephone English to students anywhere in the world from the comfort of your own home. You may get a Skype account here.
